Held every Mother's Day Weekend (Friday & Saturday), Gedenke! is a wonderful way to connect with old friends, make new ones, and have a little old-fashioned festival fun with those you love! Admission and parking are always free so come on out and join us on Mother's Day Weekend in 2025 for Gedenke!

BBQ Cook-off
Friday and Saturday, May 9-10
Think you're a pit master? Prove it at the Gedenke! BBQ Cook-off! Compete for a top spot in Beef, Pork, Chicken, or Beans competitions or the popular Open category. Winners will walk away with a cash prize! To register, download the BBQ Cook-off Entry Form and turn it in, along with payment, at check-in. Winners will be announced Saturday at 7:00 PM.
Parade

Salsa, Margarita & Bloody Mary Competition

Have a little "South of the Border" fun by entering the Salsa, Margarita & Bloody Mary Competition on Friday and Saturday. Bring plenty of salt and limes and get ready to fiesta!
Junior Ambassador Program
Saturday, May 10
The Junior Ambassador Program seeks high school students dedicated to promoting the Weimar Area Chamber of Commerce and Gedenke!. Open to both male and female students, two winners receive a $2,000 college scholarship.

Make sure to come hungry! There will be a ton of delicious food and drink options to fill any and all cravings. Don't worry about your waistline while you're here...calories don't count at Gedenke! Register online:
